Service Description

Outdoor In-Person STEM Lab: Science Art – runs April 29 through May 27. Thursdays 4:00 – 4:45 pm Ages 3-6 5 session program: $150 (registration fee is $10) Tuition for two siblings is $285 (second child gets 10% off! - reg fee is $10) If registering 2 siblings, use code Sibling10 In this hands-on class students apply scientific techniques to create art. We extract natural pigments; create secret messages, fluorescent paintings, and more! What is the structure of the class? Each class is dedicated to one topic and it follows the following structure: Welcome to class and introduction: greeting of students and caregivers, brief discussion to introduce the topic of the class. Story time: the reading of a picture book related to the topic of the class. Class activity: Hands-on and dynamic activities, which may include experiments, science-arts and crafts, engineering challenges and/or games. Clean up and good-bye Materials for class are provided! About the instructor- Eugenia Rojas, PhD Eugenia develops and instructs STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) enrichment programs for children. Her hands-on classes take advantage of children’s natural curiosity to facilitate learning through play and inquiry, building critical and analytical thinking. In her classroom students learn to generate hypotheses and experiment to experience scientific learning. Students participate in collaborative projects, provide their own input, try and make things. In case of inclement weather we will extend the session as needed. Please note that all fees are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable. Should COVID or other extenuating circumstances require us to cease in-person sessions, we will transition to virtual learning; fees are not refundable in those circumstances.

Please note that all fees are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable.  Due to the pandemic, we continually revise our programming to ensure both the health and safety of our families and the development needs of our children.  Fees are non-refundable if we temporarily transition to virtual programming.  In addition, given the fast-changing nature of the pandemic and related laws, Galoop reserves the right to change its practices (including mask requirements, number limitations, and proportion of time spent indoors/outdoors) mid-programming, based on covid metrics and current federal, state, and local guidelines.
